We often encounter enthusiasts eager to purchase programmable radios for use on resource roads, commonly referred to as the FSRs. However, it’s vital to note that such programmable radios are not authorized for land mobile utilization. Furthermore, transmissions on these devices are strictly regulated, with permissions granted only to licensed amateur radio operators, certified helicopter pilots, or professional radio technicians like ourselves.
